One of my photographic images. A Still Life of cherries. I have found that like life, the cherries can be likened to our life experiences and memories, sweet and sour. And then there are the pits of course! :).
The intricate beauty and magic of creation is perhaps what motivates me to be a gardener along with the great peace of being close to nature. I built my garden over three years as a retreat and a place for meditation. This is my first planting of Iris in the garden and it gets to have it’s picture taken. :)
I wanted to do a Still Life celebrating the fall and the harvest. A time of year when many of us take a little more time to reflect on all the good things, and the people, the friends, that surround each of us in the present moment.
The first freeze of the year beneath a bird bath with falling water frezzing on the rocks and leaves overnight. The ribbons of ice in the central left are actually ice coated daylilly leaves. Pretty I thought, and worth a picture in awe of natures beauty!
